Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Thursday announced that the Executive and Legislative Branches will work together to achieve the prompt ratification and entry into force of the trade agreement signed with the United Kingdom. This way, Peruvian exporters will continue to enjoy tariff preferences.

"Thanks to this agreement, 95% of Peruvian products will enter this market duty-free, thus positioning us as an important Latin American supplier of value-added goods," she stressed.

Likewise, the Cabinet member indicated that President Sagasti's administration is working on the digital transformation of all commercial promotion platforms and business rounds, as well as on the positioning of the Peru Marketplace Platform at the national and international levels.

"Peru is a small economy, but integrated into the world through its wide network of trade agreements," Bermudez emphasized.

"Faced with the international boost of e-commerce and trade promotion through digital platforms, we are working on the digital transformation of 100% of platforms," she added.
