Peru's PM: Meetings with political groups have been quite positive

Peruvian Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez described as positive the meetings she has so far held with political organizations represented at Congress prior to her presentation of the Government's general policy to request a vote of confidence.

"All the meetings held so far have been quite positive and, above all, an expression of what democratic dialogue means," she wrote in a tweet posted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers

In this regard, Bermudez met with Fuerza Popular (Popular Force) party legislators this morning.

In addition, she is due to meet with non-grouped lawmakers Arlette Contreras and Moises Gonzales.

As is known, the Prime Minister will attend Congress on December 3 and 4 to present the Government's general policy guidelines.

In accordance with Article 130 of the Constitution, the President of the Council of Ministers must attend Congress to present the Government's general policy and request a vote of confidence within the first 30 days in office.
