President Martin Vizcarra on Friday urged all Peruvians to work together in favor of the nation's development, regardless of ideological, political, or social differences.
"I make a call for unity, efforts, and optimism of all Peruvians (…) in order to build a better future," the Head of State expressed.
He also pointed out Peruvians have opted for a
true and effective democracy that will involve them in the nation's decision-making processes linked to core issues.
Likewise, he indicated the population's will —expressed in the
referendum— will be implemented by his administration.
Furthermore, President Vizcarra recalled this process requires the participation of all the State's branches and institutions, plus the monitoring and watchfulness by Peruvian citizens.
"It is the only way to strengthen and deepen
democracy," he concluded.
