Peruvian President Alan Garcia will meet Thursday with his Panamanian counterpart Ricardo Martinelli, who arrived here Wednesday on a state visit to further strengthen bilateral relations with Peru.
The meeting is scheduled for 11.00 local time at the Government Palace in Lima, Peru's capital city.
At noon, the two Latin American leaders will attend the signing of a series of bilateral cooperation agreements.
In the evening, Garcia Perez will present his Panamanian counterpart Ricardo Alberto Martinelli with the highest award of this nation, the Order of the Sun of Peru, in a ceremony to be held at 7.30 at the presidential palace's Golden Hall.
Afterwards, President Garcia will host a state dinner in honor of the visiting Panamanian leader at 20.00 at the palace's Great Hall.
