President of the Republic Keiko Fujimori highlighted today the recent operation by the Pataz Unified Command, which led to the capture of the criminal Juver Jair Carbajal Cruz—known as "Goku"—along with other members of the criminal gang "La Gran Alianza" ("The Great Alliance"). She underscored that these arrests represent a "very significant blow" to criminal organizations.

During the presentation of the operation's results in the city of Trujillo, the President explained that she chose to attend in person to thank the members of the Armed Forces and the Police present at the event, as well as those currently stationed in the Pataz area.

She emphasized that these courageous police officers and military personnel risk their lives in the fight against crime in this part of the La Libertad region, and that, with bravery and sacrifice, they "confront these criminal scourges."

"Today, the Government—along with the Cabinet ministers—wanted to be here to tell the La Libertad region and the entire country that the Unified Command continues to make progress, that it has the Government's full backing, and that the efforts you are undertaking are yielding very positive results," she stated in her address.

She noted that the capture of "Goku"—caught in the act alongside 18 other members of his criminal organization—"is a major blow to criminal organizations involved in illegal mining."

Furthermore, the Head of State mentioned that the extradition of Miguel Antonio Rodríguez Díaz, alias "Cuchillo" ("Knife")—who was captured in Colombia in 2025—is still pending, and noted that steps are being taken to finalize that process.

Additionally, she pointed out that the work carried out by law enforcement to combat criminal organizations must be supported by the justice system. In this regard, she highlighted that coordination with the Public Prosecutor's Office is already underway concerning the next steps following the operation.

"We will not stop in this effort. The goal is to restore order, and the ultimate outcome will be peace in our country. Long live the Unified Command! Long live Peru!" concluded President Keiko Fujimori.
