Peruvian Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Thursday affirmed that the Executive and Legislative Branches have the challenge of working together for the sake of the country and all its citizens.

Likewise, the Cabinet chief said that all Peruvians want peace, trust, unity, and hope for the future, embodied in concrete actions geared towards the common good.

Bermudez recalled that —when President Francisco Sagasti became Head of State— he presented the main guidelines of his administration, indicating what he intends to do in this period of transition and emergency thru July 28, 2021.

"Today, we come to explain to you how we will do it, with the intention of responding to the expectations of citizens, and in particular of our youth, seeking to restore their trust and hope in this brief period of transition and emergency during which we will be in charge of the government," she emphasized.

In accordance with article 130 of the Constitution, the Prime Minister must appear before the Congress within 30 days after his/her designation to request a vote of confidence.
