Peru's PM: COVID-19 vaccination moves forward gradually, responsibly

The vaccination against COVID-19 is progressing gradually and responsibly in Peru, Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez affirmed on Friday.

The high-ranking official explained that —of the one million vaccines received from Sinopharm74.9% were inoculated in a first dose to health personnel, whereas 20% have already received the second dose.




 
As the immunization of the Armed Forces and the National Police is carried out, the elderly are being vaccinated, and this process will continue progressively with the rest of Peruvians.

"To the Government, all citizens are a priority (…)," she concluded.

Remarks were made during a press conference held at the Government Palace in Lima.
