on Friday announced that curfew hours will be reduced. Thus, this measure will be in force from midnight to 4:00 a.m.
"The very low incidence of the disease in Peru now allows us to reduce the strictest measures, such as curfew (…)," he expressed.
Likewise, the deputy minister argued that it is necessary to replace the restrictive measures by others calling for the responsible behavior of individuals and families.
"The fact that we are reducing the incidence does not mean that (COVID-19) transmission has stopped or that the risk of contagion has disappeared. There are still serious cases and hospitalized patients due to COVID-19 every day. Although the number of cases has been greatly reduced, the risk still exists," Suarez noted.
