Peru-Chile Binational Cabinet concludes with over 160 commitments

15:34 | Santiago (Chile), Nov. 27.

President Martin Vizcarra stressed the fact that 163 commitments —aimed at working together— were adopted during the 2nd Peru-Chile Binational Cabinet held in Santiago on Tuesday.

At the end of the gathering, Vizcarra indicated it had been a productive meeting, adding they had reaffirmed the promise to work jointly towards the common goal of achieving the development of both nations' peoples.

According to the statesman, Peru and Chile share a vision of the future based on democracy, respect for human rights, as well as international free trade

"14 accords have been signed, and it has been agreed to carry out 163 commitments together," he expressed.

It should be noted this amount of compromises is higher than the one from the 1st Binational Cabinet led by former Presidents Michelle Bachelet (Chile) and Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (Peru) in July 2017.

Likewise, President Vizcarra pointed out this large number of commitments were signed thanks to the great and ambitious bilateral agenda concerning the five work axes.
