Peru: President Vizcarra's approval rating reaches 62%

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra's approval rating grew to 62% in October, the latest Datum poll revealed Thursday.

This figure implies a one-percentage-point increase from last month.

According to the poll, 40% of those supporting his administration believe he is working to combat corruption.

On the other hand, 23% approve of his stance on Congress, and 8% of his democratic credentials. 

Meanwhile, 33% disapprove of this presidential administration, whereas 5% do not specify. 

Other authorities 

On the other hand, Congress Chairman Daniel Salaverry's disapproval rating stands at 70%, whereas he is approved by 20%.

Regarding Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva's performance, 56% of respondents do not approve it, and 24% support it. 

The study also reveals that 75% of Peruvians disapprove Attorney General Pedro Chavarry, 14% approve of his performance, and 11% do not specify. 

Only 23% of those surveyed support Judicial Branch President Victor Prado's job, whereas 63% disapprove it.
