Peru: President Vizcarra's approval rating up to 61%

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra's approval rating grew to 61% in October 2018, the latest Datum poll revealed Monday.

This figure implies an increase of 14 percentage points from September (47%). The disapproval rating dropped from 47% to 32%.

The regions showing the highest approval ratings are located in the north (65%) and Lima (63%).

On an urban and rural sectoral basis, the figures stood at 62% and 59%, respectively.

His popularity among the population was led by the socio-economic segment A/B (67%), followed by C (64%), D (60%), and E (57%).

Vizcarra's approval rating among voters ages 55-70 was 65%, followed by those aged 18- 24 (63%) and 35-44 (62%).
