12:35 | New York (U.S.), Sep. 25.

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday announced that the United Nations General Assembly will call for an extraordinary session against corruption in 2021 at the request of Peru and Colombia.

Likewise, the top official pointed out he is firmly involved in building a country that accomplishes the sustainable development

"Achieving a modern State demands guaranteeing a fair, inclusive, and corruption-free society on a national level," the statesman expressed.

Since Peru is vulnerable to climate change —within the framework of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development—, the Inca nation has assumed commitments based on a solid regulatory framework and a roadmap containing 62 mitigation measures and 91 adaptation measures.

As is known, the leader delivered his speech at the UNGA and also met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres last Tuesday.
