Peru President: Govt undertakes actions to face climate change

| New York (U.S.), Sep. 25.
President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday affirmed his administration
currently undertakes actions aimed at facing climate change
.
"We begin the last day of activities in New York being aware that climate change is a reality which affects the entire world," the Head of State expressed.
"For that reason, we undertake actions to respond to this challenge,
working in favor of the preservation and protection of the Amazon
," he added.
Likewise, the top official indicated his administration currently works on the protection of biodiversity, as well as on
the improvement of Peruvians' quality of life
.
Last Tuesday —during his presentation at the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly— the statesman proposed a world crusade against corruption and impunity
.
Furthermore, President Vizcarra mentioned he is sure the
constitutional reform proposal —submitted by his administration and aimed at holding early general elections— will be approved
.
