Peru FA Min participates in anti-corruption meeting at UN

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio has participated in a ministerial meeting at the United Nations headquarters to discuss alternatives and face the challenges in the fight against corruption.

This dialogue among ministers from different countries was held with a view to the Extraordinary Session of the UN General Assembly against Corruption to be held in 2021 at the initiative of Peru and Colombia.


The activities of Minister Popolizio were carried out within the framework of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, which is also attended by President Martin Vizcarra.

As is known, the Head of State on Tuesday evening delivered his address to the Member States, in which he expressed his hopes for the launch of a world crusade against corruption.


The presidential trip will last until September 26, as he will participate in the Forum of the Presidents of the Pacific Alliance, a commercial bloc comprising Peru, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.
