Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Monday said he hopes the
, stressing it is necessary to have a strengthened and representative democracy, which builds trust among the population.
According to the Head of State, although progress has been made on reforms, these have not been completed yet. Thus, it is important to finish the pending work.
Under that premise, the top official informed he will meet with the Political Reform and Justice Commissions this week, in order to verify the level of progress and how it can be granted a boost by the new Congress.
"Let us have a Congress with which, once its members take up duties, we will be able to interact for the benefit of common projects geared towards the population," Mr. Vizcarra emphasized.
