Peru's national soccer team on Monday started training in Moscow prior to its debut at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.
Held at Arena Khimki, this intensive session was open to the public and lasted two hours.
Some 300 people showed up at the stadium wearing national team jerseys and waving Peruvian flags to cheer the red-white squad on.
The athletes conducted stretching and passing exercises under the guidance of physical trainer Nestor Bonillo.
On the occasion, the team created several game scenarios with 20 players divided into three groups. This event also included a practice match.
Before its debut at the
World Cup tournament, the squad is scheduled to hold additional training sessions.
The Incas' first game will be played against
Denmark (June 16). Then, they will clash with
France (June 21) before facing
Australia (June 26).
