Presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori (Popular Force Party) cast her vote at Libertador San Martin School in Lima's San Borja district on Sunday morning.

The presidential hopeful arrived at the polling place at 11:30 a.m. and exercised her right to vote two minutes later.

Amid a heavy police presence, Fujimori greeted citizens gathered at the polling place.

Afterward, she headed to the vehicle that transported her and bade farewell to the crowd without making any statements to reporters, who had been waiting for her remarks.

The presidential candidate began the day this morning with breakfast at Las Rocas community kitchen, located in the El Paraiso Housing Association, Lima's San Juan de Lurigancho district.

Joined by her two daughters, Kyara and Kaori, and her sister Sachi, she shared the traditional election-day breakfast.
