Peru 2026 Elections: 100% of polling places have received electoral materials

09:17 | Lima, Jun. 7.

All polling places nationwide have already received the electoral materials for the presidential runoff election, the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) reported Sunday morning.

The agency specified that on Saturday, June 6, at 11:08 p.m. (local time), the electoral materials arrived at the Wijint Population Center, under the jurisdiction of the Alto Amazonas Decentralized Electoral Process Office (ODPE), in Loreto region.

The delivery to this final location completed the distribution of electoral materials to the 10,313 polling places set up nationwide for Election Day.

"One hundred percent of polling places nationwide now have the electoral materials that will be used in the presidential runoff election," the institution said in a post on X.

The deployment of 100% of electoral materials in Metropolitan Lima and Callao was successfully completed Saturday afternoon.

During the first round on April 12, delays in the distribution of electoral materials in the capital city caused problems with the opening of polling stations.
