17:26 | Lima, Oct. 4.

The list fielded by Popular Renewal Party for the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, with Rafael Lopez Aliaga as its first councilor candidate, received 31.2% of the preferences, followed by mayoral candidates Francis Allison (Go on Country Party) with 25.2%, Carlos Bruce (We Are Peru Democratic Party) with 15.9%, and Daniel Urresti (We Can Peru Party) with 8.7%, according to an exit poll conducted by America TV/Datum Internacional.

As is known, Popular Renewal's candidate for mayor, Luis Rubio, had stepped down, leaving former Lima Mayor Rafael Lopez Aliaga at the head of the party's list.

However, the exit poll does not constitute the official results, which will be announced by the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) in the coming hours.

It should also be noted that exit poll results have a margin of error.

In this case, the figure may be three percentage points higher or lower than the reported result, as Datum itself has specified.

For the Metropolitan Lima elections, a total of 26 political organizations have submitted their candidate lists to compete to lead the capital city.
