China, the United States, and Brazil are Peru's main good suppliers, accounting for 41%, 23%, and 21% of total Inca imports, respectively, between January and September 2018, the Foreign Trade Society (Comex Peru) has informed.
Imports from the Asian Giant amounted to US$7.36 billion in the analyzed period, thus increasing 13.7% compared to the similar term in 2017.
Moreover, shipments from the
North American country reached US$6.94 billion (+17%), while
Brazil's totaled US$1.73 billion (+4.8%), during the same period.
According to Comex Peru, the
Inca country's trade balance stood at US$3.34 billion between January and September 2018, a 20.9% rise compared to the similar term in 2017.
Furthermore,
total imports reached US$32.25 billion, thus increasing 10.7% compared to the same period last year.
Likewise, consumer-, intermediate -, and capital goods totaled US$7.29 billion (+4.4%), US$15.89 billion (+18.3%), and US$9.04 billion (+4.1%), respectively.
