Peruvian Development and Social Inclusion Minister Dina Boluarte on Tuesday reiterated that the only way to solve the problems faced by regions across the country is by working together.

"We need to work together to take a broad view of the country's needs and seek solutions as a group. We are not going to make it separately," she stated.

Mrs. Boluarte, who also serves as Vice-President of the Republic, highlighted the technical approach taken by Agrarian Development and Irrigation Minister Andres Alencastre to face the water problem and the shortage of fertilizers, as well as the approach taken by Education Minister Rosendo Serna to find a solution to the educational infrastructure problem.

The high-ranking official stressed the importance of having a forward-looking approach to find out how to develop each sector such as education, health, transportation, tourism, culture, among others, under the shortage of economic resources.

"Our population needs to see us united to solve the major problems that our beloved country is facing, which have been traditionally ignored," she said.

Moreover, at the initiative and request of Arequipa Region Governor Kimmerlee Gutierrez, Mrs. Boluarte emphasized that the technical team from the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) is supporting the Regional Government of Arequipa with the implementation of the management strategy "Childhood First" and the care for people with disabilities.

Additionally, members of the Midis work team have been made available to the Regional Government of Arequipa in order to form working groups to draw practical and executable conclusions for the benefit of the vulnerable population.

Her remarks were delivered during the 17th Decentralized Council of Ministers held in Arequipa.
