positions the country as an epicenter of dialogue, innovation, and cooperation in matters of security, defense, cybersecurity, and risk management.
The top official said that, in a context marked by complex threats, technology as a key tool to fight organized crime, cyberattacks, monitor climate change, and carry out the modernization of defense and security institutions has become a necessity.
"SITDEF Peru represents that commitment, as it is a space where science, technology, and experience converge to build a safer future; where tangible elements such as unmanned electric vehicles, cybersecurity solutions, or command and control systems, are combined with the strategic vision of those who lead security and prevention in the region," she stated.
The top official highlighted that in this edition of SITDEF Peru, several countries from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa are participating, including the U.S., Germany, Israel, South Korea, and Brazil, which —along with leading companies in the sector— will showcase technology applied to defense and disaster prevention.
Likewise, the Head of State emphasized that this event allows our country to be part of technological exchange and strengthens good relations between Latin American nations and the world.
"It is also a platform that promotes tourism and enhances Peru's image as a host of international events of high technological level. We have regained international trust in every field," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.
According to the top official, this is due to the fact that Peruvians have provided guarantees of that trust.
"Let's make the most of this meeting as an opportunity to continue learning how to build strategic alliances, exchange ideas, and construct solutions that bring us closer to becoming a more prepared and integrated region and world," she concluded.
SITDEF Peru 2025 will hold its tenth edition at the Army headquarters in Lima from April 24 to 27.
