President Vizcarra appreciates commitment of Peruvians

The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra thanked Peruvians for their commitment to the measures taken by the Government in order to avoid the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) throughout the country.

Remarks were made on Saturday after receiving an affectionate welcome and encouraging messages from people living near the Naval Hospital.


"Upon leaving the Naval Hospital, on Venezuela Avenue, I received a warm welcome and messages of encouragement from the people who live nearby. Thanks for your commitment to our country, you are the strength we need to move on. Peru first, the people first, always!" he exclaimed.


During his visit, he was joined by Ministers Victor Zamora (Health) and Walter Martos (Defense).


The first basic artificial respirator was manufactured at this establishment.
