President returns to Peru after APEC Leaders' Summit

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte arrived in the city of Lima on Saturday afternoon after having participated in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Week, which took place in San Francisco, United States.

Upon arrival in Peru, the Head of State was welcomed by Prime Minister Alberto Otarola and the Military House chief.

Likewise, the top official received honors from members of the Armed Forces and Peruvian National Police, who were awaiting her arrival at Air Group Nr. 8 in Callao region.

Last Friday, Peru assumed the Presidency of APEC 2024, after receiving it from United States President Joe Biden.

Next year, Arequipa, Urubamba, Lima, Pucallpa, and Trujillo will host more than 160 meetings of the 21 economies that make up the APEC forum.
