The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative, Ambassador Liliam Ballon, held a meeting with Argentine Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich, who holds the vice-chairmanship of the OAS's Fourth Meeting of National Authorities on Transnational Organized Crime (RANDOT IV)).

During the meeting, Ambassador Ballon presented the Resolute Action Plan (PAR) on transnational organized crime to Minister Bullrich.

Last January, the Peruvian Government signed the Resolute Action Plan (PAR) that promotes cooperation with the countries that comprise the Andean Community (CAN) —Colombia, Ecuador, and Bolivia— in the fight against transnational organized crime.

Moreover, the two authorities addressed mechanisms to strengthen cooperation, especially in cross-border security and the fight against illicit drug trafficking.

At the meeting, Ambassador Ballon and Minister Bullrich agreed on the prompt holding of the VII Joint Commission on Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Drugs between Peru and Argentina, which will deepen cooperation in the fight against drugs.
