The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Saturday affirmed that the fight against the coronavirus pandemic is a challenge not only for the Government but also for the working class and all families.

"For that reason, let's undertake this effort, let's help the Peruvian population understand that so far our priority has been the vaccine, the fight against COVID-19. Once this has been ensured, let's start with you to reactivate the economy," he expressed.

The Head of State indicated that —once everyone's health has been guaranteed— the working class, entrepreneurs, as well as small and micro enterprises, must join efforts to face the crisis.

"The doors will be open so you can be heard. We will do so not only in Lima (…) I do not have any problems with talking with my working peers here or anywhere, in the streets, at squares, or wherever, because we come from there. We will continue fighting for them and for you. Long live the working class," he concluded.
