Peru's President: Council of Ministers approved 2023 Budget Bill

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo reported that the Bill on the Budget, Financial Balance, and Indebtedness for the Fiscal Year 2023 was approved during a Council of Ministers session on Thursday.

Via his official Twitter account, the Head of State stressed that the approval serves to plan the distribution and use of public resources for various State sectors and levels.

"We continue working to promote laws in favor of the people. Today, during a session of the Council of Ministers, we approved the Bills on the Budget, Financial Balance, and Indebtedness for the year 2023, the same ones that will be sent to Congress in the coming hours," Mr. Castillo expressed on social media last night.

The top official indicated that, thanks to this approval, it will be possible to continue promoting various public works, public policies, investments —in addition to sectors such as education, health, and agriculture— for the benefit of the people.

The bill for the creation of Alto Trujillo district in northern La Libertad region was also approved, plus the Supreme Decree that extends the state of emergency due to COVID-19 and establishes the optional use of facemasks at educational institutions.
