Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday attended launch of the Temporary Attention and Isolation Center in the city of Sicuani.

Said health facility features 50 hospital beds, medical tools and personnel for the care of patients suffering from the novel coronavirus.

Likewise, the Head of State arrived in Combapata district to attend the start-up of the local bridge, which has been recently refurbished. 

It is one of the six modernized bridges on the route that connects Cusco and Puno regions.


The President was joined by Transport and Communications Minister Carlos Estremadoyro, Deputy Minister of Benefits and Health Insurance Victor Bocangel, Social Health Insurance System (EsSalud) Executive-President Fiorella Molinelli and local authorities.
