Prime Minister Luis Enrique Arroyo stated on Thursday that the government’s goal is to ensure an electoral process with full public trust.

"We must be confident that this will be the case, because we are ensuring a democratic transition that is clean and orderly," he said, noting that operational planning has already been activated nationwide.

In that regard, the high-ranking official indicated that law enforcement personnel are being deployed to strategic areas, including remote and border zones, to reinforce security.

"The Armed Forces and the National Police have already completed their planning and are being deployed to the most remote areas," Arroyo pointed out.

The government reiterated its commitment to guaranteeing the General Elections under conditions of stability and public trust.

"What we want is for the electoral process to continue without distractions (…) in order to ensure the transparency and integrity that every electoral process must have," he emphasized.

Fight against illegal mining

As part of domestic security efforts, he highlighted the fight against illegal mining, which has intensified in various Peruvian regions.

"We have already begun, and it has now expanded to the Cordillera del Condor," he warned, noting that this problem represents a new front for intervention.

Similarly, the Prime Minister emphasized coordinated work with various productive sectors, including transport operators and rice producers, through dialogue roundtables to address specific demands.

"We are working as we have been with transport operators and rice producers," he told Exitosa radio.

Infrastructure and urban control

The Cabinet chief also reported on progress in infrastructure and public management aimed at improving connectivity and services nationwide.

"We are connecting deep Peru through infrastructure works (…) In the next four months, there will be concrete progress in the execution and unblocking of projects in health, transport, and education (sectors)," Arroyo indicated.

In terms of citizen security, he highlighted the implementation of the National Citizen Security and Fight against Crime Plan 2026–2028. The latter includes joint operations by the Police, the Armed Forces, and municipal patrol units, as well as the use of technology to strengthen surveillance.

"We are promoting urban control systems, such as the installation of security cameras in public transport and an integrated traffic light system for Lima and Callao," he concluded.
