Peru's Prime Minister Anibal Torres on Monday afternoon affirmed that round-table discussions provide results and solutions to the conflicts that may arise.

His remarks were delivered at a coordination meeting held to address the problems of Cusco region.

"This Government, led by Pedro Castillo, is the Government of the People you are part of. Many solutions have been proposed during these round-table discussions," he said at Cusco's Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade, Tourism and Crafts, where the meeting took place.

Torres explained that round-table discussions produce results such as the supreme decree that stipulates that dairy products should be made using fresh milk and a small amount of powdered milk, which benefits many farmers.

"This Government has stipulated that 99% of guano, collected from Peruvian shore islands, must be devoted to national agriculture, and the first 200 tons of guano should be arriving in Cusco next Thursday to be distributed among farmers," he added.

Likewise, he reiterated that the Executive Branch has submitted to Congress a bill to ban monopolies, oligopolies, dominant positions, hoarding, and speculation.

Finally, the Cabinet chief urged participants to work together through the round-table discussions, noting that the Government is open to hearing all voices.

"Let's work together, let's reach agreements during these round-table discussions. People complain because some civil society representatives were not included; so, they must be included. The representatives shall be appointed to do so," he said.

The meeting also included the participation of Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Roberto Sanchez, Cusco Region Governor Jean Paul Benavente, Peru Libre legislator Katy Ugarte, and representatives of various social organizations in Cusco.
