Ministerial Cabinet members support the
President of the Republic Dina Boluarte and
Prime Minister Alberto Otarola, in the face of Public Ministry's investigations into the deaths of Peruvian nationals during recent political protests,
Housing Minister Hania Perez de Cuellar affirmed.
In this regard, the government official stated that there is an atmosphere of confidence and tranquility within the Executive Branch.
"We are calm," the minister pointed out.
"We hope investigations will be conducted in the best manner, will be completed accordingly, and will determine the corresponding individual responsibilities," she remarked.
Perez de Cuellar noted that State ministers talked with the President every time decisions had to be made to maintain order in the country.
"We deeply lament these deaths," the minister said, adding that they have seen this with their own eyes.
"These are the deaths of our brothers (and sisters), and the current Government has not caused such situation of violence," she expressed.
Public Ministry
The Cabinet member underscored that President Boluarte has never refused to go to the Public Ministry to deliver her statement.
"She is more than willing to do so, as a democrat," Perez de Cuellar added.
The minister delivered these remarks after a ceremony marking the handover of 5,126 title deeds for 21 settlements in Ancash region.
