The
First Vice-President of the Republic and
Development-Social Inclusion Minister Dina Boluarte on Sunday affirmed that she is confident that political dialogue with parliamentary groups, announced by Prime Minister Mirtha Vasquez, will pave the way to preserve the separation of powers.
The government official noted that responsibility requires parliamentary groups to make a deep reflection on the attempt to regulate the motion of confidence without considering sentences issued by the Constitutional Court.
"I am confident that political dialogue, announced by Prime Minister Mirtha Vasquez, will pay the way and will bring us together —executive and legislative branches— to consolidate our democracy," she wrote.
Congress' Constitution Commission on Saturday approved the insistence on the enrolled bill that interprets the mechanism that regulates the motion of confidence, which had been returned by the Executive Branch on October 6.
On the matter, the Cabinet chief said that insistence on passing this ruling could disrupt the democratic principle of separation of powers, which seriously affects the Rule of Law.
Vasquez stressed the importance of reviewing the regulation of this constitutional concept, but deemed it essential to ensure adequate deliberation.
"The Executive Branch hopes that, after a round of talks with parliamentary groups, a balanced regulatory method that respects democratic rules will be found to vanish the fears," she pointed out.
