The
President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Friday affirmed that Peru will reaffirm its tireless efforts to close gaps, revive the economy, and promote investments during its upcoming participation at the
United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in the United States.
Likewise, the country will report on the efforts made by the Executive Branch in the post-pandemic era, ensuring unrestricted respect for human rights, defense of the rule of law, and democratic institutions.
"At this forum, we will confirm that the Government is working tirelessly to close gaps, revive the economy, promote investments worldwide, respect human rights, as well as defend the rule of law and the country's democratic institutions," the President added.
Moreover, the dignitary reasserted her commitment to dialogue and national unity to continue working in favor of Peruvian citizens.
"I want to reiterate my commitment to dialogue, unity, and work in conjunction with all Peruvians, because we can accomplish everything together. Divided, we all lose," she stated.
Mrs. Boluarte's remarks were delivered during a speech at the ceremony marking the 94th anniversary of Mariscal Domingo Nieto (Marshall Domingo Nieto) Cavalry Regiment Escort.
UN General Assembly
The 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78) will take place from September 17 to 21, 2023, in New York, United States.
The event will bring together world leaders under the theme, "Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity: Accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress and the sustainability for all."
