Peru: Prime Minister visits Cusco region

Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Saturday arrived in Peru's southern Cusco region to visit the Regional Hospital, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) has reported.

The Cabinet chief was joined by Deputy Territorial Governance Minister Edgardo Cruzado and a representative of the Health Ministry.

Last Friday, the Prime Minister attended a virtual session of Congress' COVID-19 Commission.

At the event, the high-ranking official assured lawmakers that

acting transparently is a State policy of President Francisco Sagasti's administration.

She also affirmed that the Executive Branch is the entity most interested in having the facts —linked to the irregular vaccination of public officials— elucidated and identifying those responsible for such unethical acts.
