Peru: President reviews security plan to strengthen State response to crime

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, led a coordination meeting to review the National Citizen Security Plan and define measures to strengthen the Peruvian State’s response to crime.

During the meeting, the Head of State heard proposals from Interior Minister Vicente Tiburcio and Peruvian National Police Commander General Oscar Arriola.

These were aimed at optimizing current strategies and speeding up the implementation of operational actions nationwide.

Both officials presented their strategies to improve the police forces’ response to crime and restore the peace deserved by Peruvians.

The event was held at the Interior Ministry headquarters on Thursday night.
