The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, took part in the "Mas Cerca del Peru – Edicion Apurimac" (Closer to Peru – Apurimac Edition) multisector fair.

The event was held in front of the Government Palace in Lima on Monday. It brought together the best of Apurimac's culture, history, and productive output.

The Head of State spoke with local producers during his tour of the stands.

Likewise, he tasted traditional dishes from Apurimac, a region located in the country's southern highlands.

The fair aims to bring Peruvian regions closer together, as well as highlight the work carried out by regional entrepreneurs and those who preserve Apurimac's cultural identity.

It also featured cultural activities such as music, traditional dances, and gastronomic displays, among others.

On this occasion, President Jeri was accompanied by Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Teresa Mera Gomez.
