Peru: President Jeri meets with union leaders to strengthen dialogue

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, met with union leaders and representatives from the Labor Regime of Legislative Decree No. 276, belonging to regional governments and various executing units across the country.

During the meeting, the Head of State listened to the main demands and proposals of the organizations, with the aim of addressing their needs, improving their working conditions while at the same time preserving fiscal balance and public finances sustainability. 

"There is the desire and political willingness to move the proposals forward, but everything must be coordinated with the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF)," he underlined.

Social leaders from Huancavelica, Junin, Huanuco, Ayacucho, Apurimac, Cusco, Lima, Lambayeque, Madre de Dios, Puno, Tumbes, San Martin, Ica, and Ucayali regions participated in the meeting.

This event took place at the Government Palace on Tuesday.
