Peru: President Boluarte reaffirms commitment to new Central Highway

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte has reaffirmed her commitment to the execution of the new Carretera Central (Central Highway) in Peru.

The statement was made at a meeting held with Governors Zosimo Cardenas (Junin region) and Antonio Pulgar (Huanuco region), as well as with mayors of Junin and Comas districts —also in Junin region.

The celebrations for the Battle of Junin's Bicentennial —to be commemorated in 2024— were coordinated at the gathering as well.

This event also saw the participation of Ministers Alex Contreras (Economy-Finance), Raul Perez Reyes (Transportation-Communications), Jorge Chavez Cresta (Defense), and Leslie Urteaga (Culture).
