Peru: Only 5 COVID-19 patients entered ICU in last 24 hours

Only five (05) patients with the new coronavirus entered the Intensive Care Units (ICU) in the last 24 hours, while other 3,373 were discharged, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported on Tuesday.


As is known, last Saturday the total number of patients in ICUs reached 1,062; this figure remained the same the following day; on Monday, the amount grew to 1,072, and it rose to 1,077 (+5) on Tuesday.

More testing

Likewise, the number of tested citizens grows nationwide every day. As of June 9, 1,227,691 samples were processed —from molecular and rapid (serological) tests.
