Afterward, she will deliver her first address to the nation, outlining the main guidelines of her administration.
The solemn session was scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. (local time).
Fujimori Higuchi will attend to take the oath of office and officially assume the Presidency of the Republic for the 2026–2031 term.
The ceremony will be attended by national authorities and high-ranking dignitaries, including King Felipe VI of Spain, as well as Presidents Daniel Noboa (Ecuador), Jose Antonio Kast (Chile), Yamandu Orsi (Uruguay), Jose Raul Mulino (Panama), Santiago Peña (Paraguay), and Rodrigo Paz (Bolivia).
Also attending is U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, who arrived in Lima to represent President Donald Trump at the transfer of power ceremony.
After taking the oath of office, Fujimori Higuchi will deliver her inaugural address to the nation before the full Congress, composed of senators and deputies.
Keiko Fujimori said the remaining Cabinet appointments will be announced today.
