The Ministry of Interior (Mininter) on Friday included Vladimir Roy Cerron Rojas in the Rewards Program, offering S/100,000 (about US$26,069) to the citizen who will provide appropriate information leading to his capture.

Mininter's Rewards against Crime Evaluating Commission (Cercri) has agreed to include the former Junin Region Governor (2011-2014) on said list.

As is known, an arrest warrant was imposed on the perpetrator of the crime of collusion against the Peruvian State.

Said decision was issued by the Criminal Appeals Chamber Specialized in Corruption Crimes by Officials of Junin region.
Similarly, Cerron Rojas was sentenced to three (3) years and six (6) months of effective imprisonment.

The offer is due to the proposal put forward by the Peruvian National Police's (PNP) National Directorate of Criminal Investigation (Dirnic). It was submitted to the Cercri.

The entity reported that any citizen can collaborate providing information about Cerron Rojas or other wanted persons for their subsequent capture by calling: (+51) 0800 40 007.

Confidentiality of whistleblower's identity is guaranteed.

According to the prosecutorial thesis, Cerron would have signed an irregular contract with Gran Aerodromo Wanka (Great Wanka Aerodrome) consortium legal representative, Luis Garcia Moron, without relying on the corresponding justification for the construction of an aerodrome in Concepcion province and without considering the statement by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The former regional authority is disqualified from holding public office during the time that the custodial sentence shall last.

Cerron was also ordered to pay civil damages amounting to S/800,000 (about US$209,479).
