The Ministry of Health (Minsa) —through Ministerial Resolution No. 389-2021/Minsa— approved the National Registry for Universal Vaccination against COVID-19, which includes all citizens of the country, who will be immunized against this disease.

The list may be updated by the same governing body, with information provided by the data bank holders that serve to support it.

The General Office of Information Technologies will arrange the necessary measures so that it is not modified or altered and to guarantee the security of the personal data it contains.

The National Vaccination Registry is based on Urgency Decree No. 009-2021 by means of which extraordinary and complementary measures were implemented in economic and financial matters for its creation and management, as well as other provisions that allow increasing the Ministry of Health's response capacity for the application of the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 in Peru.

The national registry —defined as a data bank of an administrative nature run by the Ministry of Health— consolidates and systematizes information from public entities of the three government levels, as well as private sector organizations.

It will also allow the management of the vaccination against COVID-19 by the Peruvian State at the national level.

On the other hand, Minsa has published on its website the list of adults aged over 80 who will be vaccinated in Lima's San Juan de Lurigancho district during the first phase of the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 currently underway.
