The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, held a meeting with members of the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru (CGBVP).

At this event, the Head of State expressed the Government's support for the work they carry out on an ongoing basis to ensure the safety of all Peruvians.

"We recognize your contribution and service to citizens in the moments when you are needed most. Therefore, we will channel all our efforts into addressing the most urgent needs," he indicated during the gathering.

The top official acknowledged that firefighters work in challenging situations.

Thus, the Executive Branch is hopeful that the CGBVP will be able to operate under better logistical conditions.

In that regard, Jeri announced that he will coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs so that support can be arranged from countries interested in contributing through technology transfer, knowledge sharing, among other forms of cooperation.

"We will call on the respective embassies and work directly with them to reach agreements that can, in some way, help close gaps," he indicated.

The meeting was attended by CGBVP General Commander Juan Carlos Morales, Legal Advisory Office Director Jorge Luna, and other CGBVP members.
