Joined by Health Minister Jose Lopez, Prime Minister Anibal Torres met with French Ambassador to Peru Marc Giacomini with the aim of strengthening the bilateral relationship between both countries.

At the work meeting held in Lima on Friday, the Cabinet chief agreed with Ambassador Giacomini on the need to work together to promote the execution of government-to-government (G2G) agreements signed by Peru and France.

Likewise, they discussed the progress of the new Central Highway construction, and about undertaking efforts in the execution of works to improve health services provided at hospitals Antonio Lorena and Sergio Bernales in Cusco and Lima, respectively.

For his part, the French diplomat ratified his country's willingness to complete these works for the benefit of said regions' populations.

In turn, Prime Minister Torres emphasized that the Health Ministry —within the framework of law and in coordination with the French Embassy— will in the shortest time possible carry out actions to execute the aforementioned healthcare facilities.

Moreover, Torres highlighted that these government-to-government agreements represent a valuable contribution to improve the health system through bilateral cooperation.
