The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo and his Colombian counterpart Ivan Duque on Tuesday evaluated issues such as the protection of the Amazonia, as well as the fight against deforestation and illegal mining.

Similarly, both Heads of State addressed food security and support for small farmers.

They also analyzed the progress of the agreements reached at the VI Binational Cabinet held in Villa de Leyva, Colombia, last January.

During the meeting, the Peruvian President was accompanied by Economy-Finance Minister Oscar Graham; Peru's Permanent Representative to the OAS Harold Forsyth; and Peruvian Ambassador to Spain Oscar Maurtua.

This includes meetings with presidents of the region, representatives of international organizations and businesspeople, in search of new investments for Peru.
