Presidential candidate Roberto Sanchez (Together for Peru Party) on Sunday called on Peruvians to fulfill their democratic vocation as responsibly as possible and cast their ballots in the June 7 presidential runoff election.
After finishing breakfast at his parents' home in the Flor de Huaquillas neighborhood, city of Huaral, the presidential hopeful made a statement to the press outside the property.
Sanchez highlighted the area where the residence is located, near a huaca (pre-Hispanic archaeological site) that belonged to the Chancay culture (Lordship of the Atavillos), an important civilization based in the Chancay-Huaral Valley.
He also thanked the press "for making an extraordinary effort to come from the city of Lima to join us here this morning."
The candidate said today is an important day for Peruvian democracy.
Therefore, he reiterated his call on all Peruvians "from the cities of the north, center, south, and east of the homeland to fulfill their civic duty responsibly."
Lastly, he announced that after this activity he will travel to Lima to cast his ballot at a school in San Borja district.
Thus, Roberto Sanchez carried out his first activity in Huaral, where he also attended the Sunday Mass held at San Juan Bautista Church, located at Huaral's Main Square.
