A new batch of 650,520 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine has arrived in Peru, the
Ministry of Health (Minsa) has reported.
The new shipment of doses will make it possible to close gaps in the immunization and inoculate more Peruvians throughout the national territory.
It must be noted that a total of 23,948,070 vaccine doses have been administered in Peru as of September 20 at 6:02 p.m. (local time) and that 9,488,819 people have received both doses, thus becoming fully immunized against the virus.
The health sector's head indicated that the signing of these contracts would help make a decisive push forward on the vaccination process in 2022 to ensure an adequate amount of doses to protect the entire population.
