Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Gideon Sa'ar on Tuesday congratulated Popular Force Party candidate Keiko Fujimori on her victory in the presidential runoff, after the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) completed the vote count.

"I wish you every success. Peru and Israel are close friends that share common values, and I am confident that together we will continue strengthening our ties and promoting cooperation across many areas for the benefit of both peoples," Sa'ar said in a message on X.

Keiko Fujimori won the presidential election for the 2026-2031 term after the vote count from the runoff was completed 22 days later.

Last Monday, Fujimori said she accepted the results with a great sense of responsibility because she will lead a divided country.

In turn, the Uruguayan Government congratulated the Fujimorist leader on her victory in the election following the completion of the vote count from the presidential runoff.

"The Uruguayan Government congratulates Ms. Keiko Fujimori Higuchi on her victory in Peru's presidential runoff," a communiqué released by Uruguay's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

Uruguay also reaffirmed its commitment to "continue deepening bilateral cooperation ties with the sister Republic of Peru, for the benefit of both peoples and regional integration."

The Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia also extended its congratulations to Fujimori.

Similarly, it reaffirmed its commitment to continue strengthening the historic friendship ties with Peru.

Likewise, the Panamanian Government, led by President Jose Raul Mulino, congratulated Fujimori on her election as President of Peru and expressed its willingness to "continue strengthening the historic ties" between the two countries.

"Panama commends the Peruvian people's civic and democratic participation in the election, which reflects the strength of its institutions and its commitment to democratic values," a statement released by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The Mulino administration wished Fujimori "every success" and expressed its confidence that "under her leadership, Peru will continue moving along the path of economic growth, stability, prosperity, and the well-being of all its citizens."

Furthermore, Paraguayan President Santiago Peña congratulated the Popular Force Party candidate on her victory in Peru's presidential election following the completion of the vote count from the runoff.

"I extend my congratulations to Peru's President-elect, Keiko Fujimori," Peña posted on X shortly before taking part in the Mercosur Presidents' Summit, in the Paraguayan city of Luque.

Together for Peru Party candidate Roberto Sanchez received a total of 9,173,755 ballots (49.865% of the valid votes).

The National Elections Board (JNE) is expected to officially proclaim the election results on Friday, July 3, when Fujimori will be declared president-elect.

She will receive her credentials on July 15 and will be sworn in as President of the Republic on July 28 during a ceremony at Congress on the occasion of the Peruvian Independence Day.
