The Peruvian Judiciary has decided that the next sessions of the oral trial of
over the Ecoteva case will be held on June 6 and 13.
This was announced by Judge Josefa Izaga, of the Ninth Liquidating Criminal Chamber of the Superior Justice Court of Lima. Both sessions will start at 2:15 p.m. (local time).
At the hearing last Tuesday, the
Public Ministry continued to
present documentary evidence against defendants Eliane Karp and her mother, Eva Fernenbug.
The Prosecutor's Office is investigating the purchase of two properties in Lima under the name of Toledo's mother-in-law and the payment of mortgages on two assets owned by the former head of state.
The prosecutorial thesis claims that these operations were paid off with illicit money from Ecoteva Consulting Group —a company established in Costa Rica and registered in a tax haven, of which Fernenbug was CEO.
