The San Pedro de Larcay Temple located in Ayacucho and the Blanquillos de Cabana and Paso Huanquilla dances from Ancash were declared cultural heritage of Peru by the country's National Institute of Culture (INC).
The San Pedro of Larcay Temple, located in the Sucre province in Ayacucho, has a unique architectural, historical, and cultural value as it is one of the most ancient monuments in Ayacucho.
This colonial-style church was the religious center of a town founded by viceroy Francisco de Toledo during the 1570's decade.
The Blanquillos de Cabana and Paso Huanquilla dances from the Andean region of Ancash were declared cultural heritage for their history, original choreography and music as well as their contribution to regional and national identity.
